The constitution or the presidential elections?

One year ago on January 25^th  due to the excessive corruption and unfairness caused by the previous regime Egypt has finally decided to take action and not to remain silent, so millions of Egyptians took to the streets in one of the most powerful and peaceful revolutions worldwide. But unfortunately everything has its good side and its bad side, so yes that was a successful revolution but on the other hand Egypt right now is facing two major problems. The first one is that there's no president elected by the people, we are ruled by the army who was supposed to hand over the power to a civilian elected president and a Parliament, now we have reached one year and we haven’t achieved this step yet. The second problem is that Egypt's previous constitution has been amended many times increasing the powers of the president and his son so eventually this constitution needs to be reformulated to allow a better democratic regime. But first of all, what is a constitution?
A constitution is the system of fundamental laws and principles that prescribes the nature functions and limits that governs the country, it's simply the basic laws and principals of a country that determines the powers and duties which guarantees rights and responsibilities to the people in it. However, these two problems can't be fixed at once. So if we had to decide which step to take first, I see that the constitution is more important because it even contains the authorities, powers and responsibilities of the new president, as it will also contain the presidency duration and his relation with other powers such as the parliament, government and the court system. So the main functions of the constitution are to create and maintain balance between the presidency, parliament, government and the rights of each citizen.
That's why in my opinion I see that a constitution must be made before taking any steps in rebuilding the country because it's extremely essential.  

About Me

My name is Yasmine Ahmed Ramadan. On the 22nd of August 1996, I first opened my eyes to this world and I've spent the last 15 years, here in Egypt although I'm half Egyptian, half German.

I've spent my childhood in Heliopolis, but in 2002 we moved to 6th of October City, and I've been living there ever since.

My nuclear family is composed of four members: my dad, my mum, my elder sister and I.

Most of the people consider their mother or father as their favorite family member, but when it comes to me, it's my sister.

The second best thing in my life are my friends, they mean the world to me.

Since I was a little kid my mum made me try all kind of sports in the club, I even tried football and speedball. I ended up playing basketball, I played for two years, but as the school became harder I couldn't balance my time between my hobby and my school work.

My favorite food is sweet corn and as a dessert I adore eating my mum's chocolate cake.

My favorite color is teal; it's also called sea blue, I like how it's a rare shade of blue between green and blue.

I don't really have a stable dream job in mind, the more I grow up and the more I see the world, the more frequent my dream job changes but the my dream job for the time being is being a wedding planner.

Even though Germany is supposed to be my second home, and I know so much about the country, I've never been there, which persuades me to want go there more.

The best two places I've ever been to: London and New York.

NY was awesome, with the high skyscrapers; it is really the city that never sleeps.

The trip to London was better because It was it was just my sister and me, so it we had a great time there, just the two of us on our own.

Finally, since no one could describe their own personality accurately, I won't be able to do so, but I'll try.

The only thing that I'm sure of is that I'm very impatient and I get irritated easily.

I tried to change that about myself but I failed. I am who I am.

MY VACATION

This vacation was awesome; I really needed some time off school, and off the tension and stress.
However, I'll be talking about the day I enjoyed the most which is 31/12/11.
That day, is my Best friend's birthday, she's my neighbor as well so as soon as I woke up, I called her to wish her a happy birthday then I invited her over to have breakfast together, she kindly accepted, she came and it was nice.
Right afterwards, we got dressed and we headed to "Zamalek", we went to the movies, we watched "Sherlock Holmes" and it was really impressive.
After that we met some friends, we hung up for a while then we went to have lunch in a very nice restaurant. There we bought her a cake and we sang "The happy Birthday song".
But since it’s the New Years Eve, I had to go, as I was planning for my New Year's Eve party for the past three days.
I went to buy the decoration and the stuff needed for the party including the balloons.
When I got home, I started arranging what had to be done before the guests came.   

 Some of my friends came early so they helped me setting everything up.

We decorated the whole place, prepared the games and started partying.

It an awesome night full of excitement, we danced, sang karaoke, played games.
We ate a lot, there were all kinds of food as it was a dish party.

Before 12 o'clock we started the count down, and at 12 o'clock sharp we exchanged wishes of a Happy New Year.
We finished the party by playing more games then some of my friends went home, while others friend stayed over, so it was a great ending of an eventful year.
